Holden Smith joins leading UK conveyancing body
Holden Smith, the Yorkshire based law firm, has joined The Conveyancing Association – the leading trade body for the conveyancing industry in the UK.
The Conveyancing Association, a not-for-profit organisation, is the voice of the specialist UK conveyancer and works to improve the conveyancing process for the consumer and implement best practice throughout the industry.
Julie Makin, conveyancing specialist at Holden Smith, said: “Holden Smith is a forward-looking firm, and we are always keen to be involved in initiatives that influence change in the conveyancing industry for the benefit of our team and clients.
“As a member of The Conveyacing Association, our firm will have the opportunity to influence initiatives, campaigns, protocol and debate within the association and the wider conveyancing community – something we’re very much looking forward to getting involved with.”
The Conveyancing Association members collectively conduct approximately 25% of all property transactions and 70% of all remortgage transactions in England and Wales.
Holden Smith was founded in February 2019 by James Smith, David Bancroft and Jamie Megson and specialises in residential and commercial conveyancing, wills & probate, and family law. The firm employs a team of more than 100 people across four offices.
