Lee Daniels, Director and Head of Residential Conveyancing at Holden Smith

What is your role at Holden Smith and how did you get into a career in law?

I’m a director at Holden Smith working at our Crossgates office in Leeds. I almost fell into a career in property law, but I very much enjoy it. I’ve never stopped haven’t looked back!

What are we likely to find you doing on a day-to-day basis?

Aside from conveyancing at the Crossgates office, I spend my time supporting the team across all three of our offices in Huddersfield, Halifax and Leeds, supporting with pastoral issues, supervising and managing staff and dealing with compliance issues.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

I like people, so I enjoy getting the best out of our teams and I find them and the job very rewarding, all be it challenging at times!

I have never known such a dedicated bunch of employees, all of different social back grounds, ages and with different skills. I’m really proud of what they bring to Holden Smith and I believe their collective experiences and skills really makes our team stand out.

What three words do you think (hope!) your colleagues would use to describe you?

Caring, dedicated and a bit nuts!

What are we most likely to find you doing when you’re not at work?

I’m a family man and everything revolves around my little family.

What’s your favourite spot in Yorkshire and why?  

Not sure – there are too many to choose from.

What’s your party trick?

I’m too old for parties!
