Meet… Abbey Pettit
What is your role at Holden Smith and how did you get into a career in law?
I am a Conveyancer and Team Manager and I’m based at our Leeds office. I studied Law at university and quickly realised that working in property law was the right option for me. The huge variety of legal titles I deal with on a day-to-day basis keeps my work very interesting. I also get to deal with clients and properties across England and Wales which gives me a great variety of properties from city living flats in Leeds, to rural properties in Wales. It certainly never gets boring!
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
Dealing with complex legal title issues and finding ways to resolve matters efficiently to get properties bought and sold as quickly as possible! I love a challenge, and getting an issue resolved for my clients while providing a 5-star service is something I thrive on.
What is your number one career highlight to date?
Being an accomplished Team Manager leading a team of conveyancers, supporting and mentoring them to be the best conveyancers they can be, all while providing a 5-star service to our clients.

That dogs could go everywhere with you because my crazy cocker spaniel loves to come EVERYWHERE with me! 😊
