About the role

Head of Private Client, Full Time, Permanent

Salary: Dependent on experience

As our Head of Private Client, you can choose to work from any of our three offices (Denby Dale, Leeds Crossgates or Elland) and you’ll also be able to enjoy the benefits of flexible working arrangements.

We’re looking for an experienced, motivated and self-starting lawyer who can:

·       Lead the Wills & Probate team and client portfolio

·       Take overall responsibility for the Wills & Probate department

·       Get involved with and deliver sound business planning

·       Undertake business development and help plan marketing activities

·       Handle a large, established and varied caseload of wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney, trusts and estates planning for clients of high net worth

About the person

Extremely well-developed people skills and excellent client-facing communication and relationship-building skills are essential for this important role. You should:

·       Demonstrate an extremely well-developed knowledge and applied history of wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney, trusts and estates planning

·       Have exceptional communication skills, be that over the phone, via email, on Zoom, or face-to-face

·       Be able to deal with and manage a wide variety of clients and personalities while providing the highest level of client care

·       Be a very confident networker, ideally bringing your own ‘book of contacts’ to the firm with whom you can develop relationships that lead to new business

·       Have the confidence and experience to make independent decisions, while managing a high-volume case load and meeting deadlines

·       Be a self-starter, motivated and meticulous in all that you do

·       Membership of SFE and STEP would be advantageous
